We are over at 91/5Meelakalpoondi on North Street here in Kilakalpoondi. Most folks around Cuddalore or Virudhachalam probably know where the Thittakudi area is. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now, just doing the engineering work that needs to get done. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we sit down and look at plans all day. Some days it gets pretty busy with people coming in and out from the street, but we usually manage to keep up. It’s a local operation, mostly just a few of us who grew up around here. We know the roads and the way things work in this part of the district. If you’re walking down North Street, you’ll see our sign. It's nothing special to look at, but it gets the job done. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just looking at papers. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but that’s just how it is around here. We try to be helpful when people stop by with questions about their projects. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still right here in the same spot. It’s quiet mostly, except for when the traffic picks up outside on the main road. We just keep our heads down and do what we do. I guess that's about it really for our little place.
