We are set up in Krishna Nagar, Tirukannur, right near the bus stop. It is a handy location because people can just hop off the bus and walk over. You can hear the conductors shouting out the destinations all day long. Pondicherry has that coastal humidity, so the air inside the clinic often feels a bit heavy, but we have the fans going. The space is simple, with painted walls that could probably use a fresh coat one of these years. We have some wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Most of our day is taken up with routine check-ups and listening to the locals talk about their health. Being near the bus stop means we see a wide variety of people from all over the area, not just Krishna Nagar. We keep our records in big ledgers, writing everything down by hand. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. There is no big corporate office behind us, just a small team trying to keep things running. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out with the patients. It is a very grounded way of working. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the guys who run the buses. It is just a normal part of life in Tirukannur, and we are glad to be part of the neighborhood.
