You can find our office at Old No. 27, Plot No. 6 on Mettu Street. It is an older part of the neighborhood, and the building definitely shows its age. Asian Global Exports has been based here for a long time now. We are not trying to be the biggest company in the world; we just want to get the daily work done without too much fuss. Mettu Street is usually crowded in the early mornings with people heading to their jobs, so we try to get our truck loading done before the rush starts. There is almost always a pile of wooden pallets sitting near the side entrance. We handle various types of goods that need to be sent overseas. This involves a lot of weighing, measuring, and double-checking weights. Sometimes we find that our old manual scales are actually more reliable than the new digital ones we bought a few years back. The office is small and usually smells like a mix of old cardboard and printer ink. We do not have any fancy furniture, just some old chairs and very sturdy wooden tables. My brother helps me with the logistics part, and we have a couple of local guys who handle the heavy lifting. We usually eat our lunch together at the small food shop just around the corner. It is a simple, honest routine. We check the manifests, pack the goods, and wait for the transport trucks to arrive. There isn't much drama in our day.
