Sri Sainath Narayana Swamy Pan Shop

Our little place, Sri Sainath Narayana Swamy Pan Shop, is located on Atchuta Ramaiah Street in the Hanumanpet area of Vijayawada. It is right in the heart of the 520003 district of Andhra Pradesh. We aren't a big supermarket or a fancy store. We are just a small pan shop where people stop for a minute or two. We sell various types of pan, cigarettes, some candies, and cold sodas. It’s a very local spot. Most of our customers are folks who work nearby or live in the houses down the street. It gets really busy in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone is out for a walk. We have a small bench outside where people sometimes sit and talk for a bit. The street can be quite narrow, so it feels very close-knit. We’ve been here for quite a while, seeing the same people grow up and start their own families. We don't have a computer or anything to keep track of things; we just know what we have and what we need to buy from the market. It’s a simple business, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. Vijayawada is a fast city, but things move a bit slower on Atchuta Ramaiah Street. We just keep the jars filled and the soda cold.
