Sri Lakshmi Narayana General Stores

If you go into Postal Colony in the Patamata area, you will find Sri Lakshmi Narayana General Stores at door number N-57-8-24. It is a fairly quiet part of Vijayawada compared to the main roads, which is nice most of the time. The shop is just a basic general store, filled with the kind of things people realize they ran out of at home. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and seeing what needs to be ordered for the next week. The neighbors around here are used to seeing the doors open early. It is a lot of work keeping the shelves looking full, especially when it is just the daily grind of running a small business. The Postal Colony atmosphere is relaxed, so we do not feel that frantic rush you get in the city center. We just take things as they come. Sometimes a few kids come by after school for snacks, or the older folks stop in while they are out for a walk. We don’t do anything special, just keep the lights on and the items ready. The building itself is just a standard place, nothing that stands out too much, but it is home for us during the working hours. We like being in Patamata, even when the rain makes the streets a bit messy or the summer heat makes everyone want to stay indoors and keep the fans running.
