Sri Lakshmi Ganesh Confectionery

You can find Sri Lakshmi Ganesh Confectionery in the Chitturi Complex on the Main Road in Vijayawada. Being on the Main Road means we are right in the middle of all the noise and traffic of the 520001 area. We have glass jars filled with different sweets and snacks lined up on the shelves. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful how we arrange everything. The Chitturi Complex is an older building and it has its own character. We spend a lot of our time weighing out items and putting them into small bags. The floor is just concrete and we sweep it several times a day because of all the dust from the road. Vijayawada weather is usually quite humid, which isn't great for some of the snacks, so we have to keep the lids on tight. We don't have any fancy seating, people just come to the counter and get what they want. Sometimes we stand at the doorway just to watch the buses go by when it's slow. We have a small radio that we play sometimes to keep us company. It’s not a high-end place, just a simple confectionery where you can get a quick bite. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on the people walking by on the Main Road who decide to stop in.
