We've been here on Radhakrishna Road for quite some time now. Dealing with rice is what we do every day at Sri Dhanalakshmi Rice Merchants. People in Krishna Lanka know where to find us, just at 29-59. It’s a busy spot but we manage. We keep different kinds of rice in stock. Usually, folks come in looking for their regular monthly supply. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a place to get your grains and go. We spend most of our mornings unloading sacks and making sure everything is stacked right. It gets dusty sometimes, but that’s part of the job. My family helps out when it gets crowded on weekends. We try to keep things simple here. If someone asks for a specific brand, we check the back. Sometimes we have it, sometimes we don't, but we always tell it straight. It's a lot of heavy lifting, honestly. The weather affects how much we can store since we don't want anything getting damp. Radhakrishna Road has changed over the years, more traffic now. But we are still in the same place. We just open up early, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It’s a steady living. Nothing more to it than that. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop on the corner where you can see the bags piled up.
