Sri Devi Rice Mill

Sri Devi Rice Mill is located at Plot No. 402 in the Krishna Complex. We are in the Ram Krishna Nagar area, specifically on the Shankar Matam Line. It’s a busy part of the neighborhood with a lot of small businesses and residences mixed together. Running a rice mill in a complex like this has its challenges, mostly with space and noise. We spend our days processing grain, which means there is always a layer of fine dust and the constant sound of the hullers running. It’s not the cleanest job, but it’s what we do. The Krishna Complex is a well-known spot, so people usually don't have trouble finding us. We get a lot of local farmers and traders coming through with their bags of paddy. The work is very seasonal; some months we are working late into the night, and other times it’s a bit slower. We don't have a fancy front office; it's mostly just the machinery and storage areas for the sacks of rice. We have to be careful with the equipment because if one part breaks, the whole line stops. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and making sure the grain is dried properly. Sometimes the heat in the mill gets quite intense, especially during the summer months. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily pile of work. It’s a straightforward business, providing a necessary service for the local community here in Ram Krishna Nagar. We've been at this for a while and just take it one day at a time.
