Sri Balaji Kitchenware & General Stores

We have our shop at No 11-49-367 on Shivalayam Street in Vijayawada. It’s located near Bangaru Kota, which is a pretty busy part of the city. We deal with kitchenware and various general items that people need for their homes. Shivalayam Street is narrow, and when we get a shipment of pots, pans, or containers, it can get a bit crowded inside the shop. We spend a lot of time unboxing things and finding a place for them on the shelves. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning; we just have a few fans to keep the air moving during the hot Vijayawada afternoons. Customers come in looking for specific sizes of utensils or maybe just some daily necessities. We try to keep a decent variety so that people don't have to go to multiple places. The work is mostly about lifting boxes, dusting the merchandise, and talking to the people who walk in. Some customers have been coming to us for years and we know exactly what they are looking for before they even ask. We don't use any high-tech systems for our inventory; we just keep an eye on what is selling and order more when we see empty spots. It is a very hands-on way to run a business, and it keeps us busy throughout the week. There is always something to reorganize or a customer to help out.
