Siddhi Wood Crafts

Siddhi Wood Crafts is located down in the first lane of Dwaraka Nagar in Krishna Lanka. Our address is 41-1/4/42A, and it is a bit of a tight squeeze getting down the lane sometimes if someone has parked a scooter in the wrong spot. The workshop is where we spend all our time, surrounded by piles of wood and the various tools we have collected over the years. It gets quite humid here, which affects how we have to treat the wood so it does not warp later on. We are not a huge factory with hundreds of workers. It is just a small group of us who have lived in this area for a long time. Most of our neighbors know us by the sound of the saws running in the afternoon. We do not spend money on big advertisements; we just keep the doors open and let the work speak for itself. Sometimes we take on small repairs for people in the lane, and other times we are working on bigger projects that take weeks to finish. The floor is almost never clean because as soon as we sweep, we start cutting something else. It is a simple life and a simple business, focused on making things out of wood that people can actually use in their homes. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay busy.
