Sai Manikanta Stores

The shop is located at D.No: 5-6-59/31/1 in Rajiv Sarma Nagar, right behind where Sowmya is. It is a bit tucked away, so if you are not from around Chittinagar, you might miss it at first. I start my day by opening up the metal shutters, which always make a loud grinding sound that echoes down the street. It’s just me and the shelves full of stock. I spend a lot of time checking the expiration dates on the bread and milk. People come in mostly for small things like a single pen or a pouch of shampoo. I try to keep everything organized, but with so many boxes of biscuits and snacks, it gets crowded in here. The fan hums all day long, and in the Vijayawada heat, it doesn't do much except move the warm air around. I usually have a radio playing low in the corner so I can hear the news. Neighbors stop by to talk about the weather or the price of onions while I weigh out their groceries. It is a simple life, just running Sai Manikanta Stores and making sure we don't run out of the basics. When the evening comes, the street gets a bit more lively with people walking back from the main road. I keep the lights on until late because you never know who might need a last-minute candle or a bottle of water. It feels good to be here.
