Prabha Nursing Home

It’s an old building that has been part of this street for many years. We have a few rooms for patients and a small waiting area that usually has a few people sitting on the wooden benches. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and you can hear the sounds of the busy market just outside our doors. We don't have a marketing department to tell people how great we are. People come here because their parents came here, or because they live just around the corner. It’s a very local place. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all the new rules and regulations, but we do our best with what we have. Our staff is small, and we all do a bit of everything, from cleaning to checking temperatures. It gets very busy in the mornings, and sometimes the wait is longer than we’d like. I know every creak in the floorboards and every flickering light bulb in the hallway. We just try to help the folks who walk in with their aches and pains. It’s a lot of work, and the days are long, but this is our place in Vijayawada and we’re here to stay.
