You can find us at 11/55/5 on Marwadi Temple Street. Like many others in One Town, we are general merchants who deal with a bit of everything. The shop is small, and every inch of wall space is covered with shelves. We’ve been here long enough to see the neighborhood change, though the temple street always stays busy. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or other traders who need something quickly. We don't do anything too complicated here. We buy goods in bulk and sell them in smaller quantities. It involves a lot of weighing and packing, which keeps our hands busy all day. The dust from the street is a constant struggle, so we are always wiping down the counters. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the business stays steady and we can pay the bills. Sometimes we run out of a popular item, and it takes a few days to get more, which can be frustrating for people. We just tell them the truth and ask them to come back later. It’s a simple way of doing business based on trust and being around for a long time. The evening rush is usually the hardest part of the day, but once the shutters are down, we can finally relax for a bit before starting the next cycle.
