We start our days very early, often before the sun is even fully up, because that is when the market really comes to life. Our spot in Kedareswara Pet is a bit chaotic, with crates piled up and people shouting out prices or calling to their friends. It isn't a place for someone who wants peace and quiet. We spend our time moving things around and talking to everyone who passes by. It’s very hands-on work. We don't have fancy brochures or a website that looks like a magazine. We just have our reputation and our presence here in the market. Most of our days are spent dealing with whatever comes through the gate. It’s a rough and tumble kind of life, but it’s honest. We have known the other traders here for decades. Sometimes we share a meal or just a quick glass of tea while we wait for the next load to arrive. It’s a good life and we wouldn't trade it for an office.
