Our office is located at Hanuman Junction, right at Door No 6-50 on the Vijayawada Road. It’s in the Bapulapadu Mandal area of Andhra Pradesh. We are the ECCD unit. Being on the main road means we see a lot of traffic and buses passing by at all hours. It can get pretty loud, especially with the horns and the rumble of the trucks. The building is a simple two-story structure and we take up a part of it. Inside, it’s just a standard office with white walls and some basic lighting. We have a few ceiling fans that we keep on high because it gets quite humid here. There’s a small tea shop just a few doors down where we go for breaks. We don’t have a lot of visitors, mostly just people from the other sites or delivery drivers. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We keep our project files in big metal cupboards along the wall. It’s not a fancy place, but it serves its purpose for our daily operations. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, so we just wait it out or work on paperwork. It’s a very ordinary, practical place to work, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and get the job finished.
