Kothari Variety Centre

You will find Kothari Variety Centre right at shop number 7 35 in the Vasavi Market on the main road. It is a very active area, and since we carry a bit of everything, our shelves are constantly overflowing with all sorts of goods. We call it a variety centre because we really do try to keep a little bit of everything in stock. One minute we might be looking for a specific kind of button for a regular customer, and the next we are climbing a ladder to get a household plastic item from a high shelf. It is a bit of a maze inside because we have so many items tucked away in different corners. The market is always loud with the sounds of people haggling and scooters zooming by on the main road right outside the entrance. We have been in this exact spot for a long time now, so we have gotten to know all the other shopkeepers in the vicinity. We start our day early, sweeping the front of the shop and getting the displays ready. There is usually a fair amount of dust coming in from the street, so keeping things clean is a never-ending job for us. It is just a normal local shop where we deal with whatever the day happens to bring. We don’t have a fancy website. We just show up and help people find what they need. If we don’t have it, we try to get it soon.
