Katy Parameswari

Katy Parameswari is located right in the middle of Vijayawada. This city never seems to sleep, and our street is always buzzing with scooters and people walking to the temple. Our office is a small room on the second floor of an older building. The stairs are a bit steep, but you get used to them after a few weeks. I spend most of my time at the desk near the window. From there, I can see everything happening down on the street. It’s a good way to pass the time when things are slow. We do a lot of administrative work and help people with their local needs. Most of our clients are people from the neighborhood who have known us for years. We don't use any fancy software; mostly just notebooks and a few folders. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I know, but it works for us and we don't see a reason to change it now. The heat in Vijayawada can be pretty intense, so we have a couple of big pedestal fans that make a lot of noise. Sometimes we have to shout over them to hear each other. We take a long break in the afternoon when the sun is at its highest. It’s a decent way to make a living. We aren’t looking to expand or become famous. We just want to do our bit here in 520001. After work, I usually walk down the street to get some vegetables for dinner.
