Housing Development Board,Singapore

We are set up in V.D. Puram, which is in Vijayawada. It’s a bit of an interesting situation given our name is Housing Development Board,Singapore, but this is where our local operations are based. The office is tucked away in a busy part of the city. We have a small staff that works here every day. Most of our time is spent talking to residents and handling various housing development tasks. It’s not a very large building, just a few rooms that we’ve converted into a working space. We have chairs for visitors and a few desks for the staff. It gets pretty hot in Vijayawada, so we try to keep the fans going all day. People stop by frequently with questions or documents to submit. We don't have a lot of fancy technology. We mostly rely on physical files and handwritten notes to keep track of things. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We know the local area well and have a good relationship with the people around V.D. Puram. Our goal is just to finish our daily work and make sure all the housing records are kept in order. It’s a simple, local operation without any of the big corporate polish you might expect. We just do our bit from this office in Vijayawada. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we work through it steadily. It’s a basic setup where we just focus on the housing tasks at hand without any extra bells or whistles.
