Habitat For Humanity

Habitat For Humanity is located at House-5, Road-10 in Bharathi Nagar. We are right in the Subbarao Colony in Vijayawada. It is a local office where we handle everything related to our housing projects. The building is just a regular house that we converted into a workspace. It fits the neighborhood well. We spend most of our time talking to people about where they live and how we can help with construction or repairs. Vijayawada is a warm place, and our office on Road-10 has a few fans going all day to keep us moving. We do not have a big corporate budget for decorations. There are posters on the walls and stacks of papers on every table. It looks like a place where work actually happens. We do not go in for marketing talk or trying to sell people on anything. Our work speaks for itself when a new roof goes up or a wall gets repaired. We have a few staff members who have been here for years. We know the local streets and the families around Bharathi Nagar quite well. Sometimes people just drop in to say hello or ask about a project. We keep the door open when we are inside. It is not a formal environment. We are just members of the community trying to get things done one house at a time.
