Global Polymers

Our place, Global Polymers, is located on Ramgopal Street at number 11-42-6. It’s a narrow street and can be a real pain for the delivery vans to get through sometimes. We deal with a lot of different plastic items and raw materials. I started working here when I was much younger, and the street has changed a lot since then. There used to be more houses, but now it’s mostly small businesses like ours. The shop is filled with the smell of processed plastic, which you get used to after a few minutes. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just stacks of bags and crates piled up to the ceiling. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or writing out receipts by hand. My assistant, Ravi, helps with the heavy lifting and making sure the counts are right. We try to be careful with the inventory, but mistakes happen when things get busy in the afternoons. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the back door, so we have to move the stock around to keep it dry. It’s a bit of a struggle keeping everything organized in such a tight space. We know most of the other shop owners on the street, so we often share a quick chat or some snacks during the lunch break. It’s a decent way to make a living, even if it gets a bit chaotic with the traffic and the noise outside.
