Akbar Photography

We have been doing photography here in Buckinghampet for a long time now. People in Vijayawada know our shop well. It is not a very big place, but we have all the cameras and lights needed to take good pictures. Most days, we are busy with passport photos or people coming in for family portraits. When there is a wedding season, we are rarely at the studio because we are out at the halls. The shop is on a busy street, so there is always noise outside. We started small with just one camera. Now we have more equipment and a few helpers who know how to handle the video parts too. Sometimes the lighting isn't perfect, but we fix it. We don't do much advertising; people just walk in because they saw our sign or their neighbor told them about us. It gets hot in the afternoons, but the fan keeps things moving. We keep all the old negatives and digital files in drawers and hard drives. It is a lot of work to keep everything organized. Sometimes customers are in a hurry, and we have to rush the prints. We try to be honest about how long it takes. Photography is just what we do every day. It's a steady life here in Buckinghampet. We see children grow up and come back for their own wedding photos years later. That’s just how it goes for a local photographer like us.
