Akira Eye Hospital

Our hospital is in GVR Towers on the service road in Bharathi Nagar. We are right across from the Vinayaka Theatre. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the cinema is. Being on the service road makes it a bit easier for people to pull over and drop off patients without blocking the main traffic. We handle all kinds of eye issues here. The GVR Towers building is modern enough, but inside we keep things very practical. There are eye charts on the walls and those big machines for checking lenses. The waiting room gets a bit of the afternoon sun, so it stays bright. On days when there’s a big movie premiere at Vinayaka Theatre, the street gets really crowded and loud, but inside the hospital, it stays pretty calm. We have a team of doctors and nurses who have been together for a while. We don't use a lot of fancy medical talk with our patients. We just explain what’s wrong with their eyes in plain English or the local language. The floors are scrubbed every morning, and the smell of antiseptic is always around. It’s not a place for luxury; it’s a place for medical care. We see kids who need their first pair of glasses and older people coming in for surgery. Everyone gets the same attention. It’s a busy life on the service road, but we’ve made our home here in Bharathi Nagar.
