Adopus Books

You can find Adopus Books over at 23 Sathupalli Road, right in the Rotary Nagar area of Khammam. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We mostly deal with educational books and materials that the local students need. The shop is on a fairly busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of movement outside. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, though we keep the radio on sometimes. We have shelves lining every wall, and they are packed tight. We spend a lot of our day unpacking boxes and trying to figure out where to put everything. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes. Khammam gets quite warm, so we try to keep the shop as cool as possible for whoever walks in. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know where the different sections are. If a student comes in looking for a specific textbook, we can usually point them in the right direction. We handle a lot of orders for schools in the area. It involves a lot of checking lists and making sure the counts are right. The floor is just plain concrete and the lighting is basic. We aren't trying to be fancy. We just want to make sure the books are available for anyone who needs them. Rotary Nagar is a good spot for us because it’s easy for people to find. We’ve been at this location for a bit now and the routine hasn't changed much.
