Urban Clothings

Urban Clothings is right here on Basaveshwar Road, not far from Saraf Bazaar. Most days start with pulling up the shutters and seeing the morning crowd head toward the market. It gets pretty loud once the shops near the bazaar open up. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around and making sure things look decent on the hangers. It’s a basic setup. There’s no fancy air conditioning that works all the time, just a few fans going. Customers come in after they finish their gold shopping or whatever they do at Saraf Bazaar. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and talk about the news or the weather. Other times, three families come in at once and it’s a bit of a mess. We try to keep the stock updated, but deliveries can be late. That’s just how it is here. The floor gets dusty from the street, so someone is always sweeping. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. People know us as the place near the corner. We don't have a big sign, just the name above the door. It’s mostly about getting through the day and making sure people find something they like to wear. We close up when the street lights come on and the bazaar starts to wind down. It’s a simple life on Basaveshwar Road, and we are just happy to be part of the neighborhood.
