Shri Basava Kirani & General Stores

We have been running Shri Basava Kirani & General Stores here on Amingad Road for quite some time now. Our place is at 8-6-541 in Shirur. It’s just a regular shop where people from the neighborhood come by to pick up their daily things. We keep most of the basic stuff you’d need for your kitchen and home, like pulses, soaps, and cleaning supplies. Dealing with local suppliers and making sure the shelves are full takes up most of our morning hours. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work, but we manage somehow. It’s not a fancy supermarket or anything like that. Just a small spot where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and talking to the people who stop by for a quick chat about the weather or local news. The road outside can get a bit dusty, especially in the summer heat, but the shop stays busy enough. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but the way we do things hasn't changed much. If someone needs a specific brand of tea or a particular soap, we try our best to keep it ready for them. It is hard work staying open all day, but it’s what we do. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure everything is in order. It's a simple life.
