Mamtha Ice Cream

We've been running Mamtha Ice Cream at 159, Bs Road for a good while now. Being so close to the Vijayapur railway station means we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. It gets pretty hot around here during the summer months, and that is usually when the shop stays most crowded. We mostly spend our time making sure the freezers are working right and the stock is full. It isn't a fancy place, just a simple spot where travelers and locals can grab something cold before they catch their train or walk home. My cousin helps out most afternoons when the rush starts. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the station area is always busy. Sometimes the electricity acts up, which is a bit of a headache when you are dealing with frozen stuff, but we manage to keep things running. People often stop by and ask for directions while they're picking out a cone or a cup. It is just a small business on a busy street. We don't have a lot of seating, so most folks just stand outside or walk while they eat. It's a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning and the deliveries, but it keeps us busy. We open up early and usually stay late until the last few trains have passed through. It feels good to be a part of the daily routine here in Vijayapur.
