7 Star Masala House

Our place is at 316, Old Sbi Road in Sindagi. It’s called 7 Star Masala House, though we are just regular people working here. The air inside always smells like cumin and turmeric because of all the spices we handle. It’s a strong scent that stays on your clothes long after you leave. The building is on the old road, so it has that bit of age to it. We have big metal containers and sacks filled with different powders and seeds. We spend a lot of our time weighing things out and putting them into smaller bags for people. The floor is concrete and can get a bit dusty from the spice groundings. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and start the day. Sometimes neighbors from Sindagi drop by just to chat for a few minutes while we work. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise as it spins, but it keeps the heat away. We don't use fancy machinery; a lot of what we do is still done by hand. It’s a simple life on Old Sbi Road. We don't promise anything grand, we just provide the masalas that people use in their cooking every day. It’s a small business and we are fine with that. We just focus on our daily tasks at 316 and keep going.
