Vaishnavi College

We have been here on Bhojpur Road in Mendua for a while now. Most people around Bhopal know where we are. It is a bit of a drive out from the main city but the air is quieter here and there is more space for the students to walk around. It gets quite hot in the summers, so we try to keep the classrooms as cool as we can. We have different courses going on and the faculty usually stays busy with paperwork or helping someone catch up on notes. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is where everyone gathers after the last bell rings. We do not have any fancy gates or anything, just a regular place where people come to learn things. The building is fairly straightforward and we try to keep the gardens tidy when the rain allows it. It is just a place where we do our work every day. Students come from all over Madhya Pradesh, some staying nearby and others taking the bus. We spend a lot of time organizing the library books and making sure the benches are in good shape. It isn't always perfect, sometimes the power goes out or a roof needs a bit of fixing after a big storm, but we manage. If you are looking for us, we are right there in Mendua, just past the main stretch of the road. It feels like a small community once you get used to the daily rhythm of the bells and the chatter in the hallways.
