We’ve been here for a while and most of the neighbors know what we are up to. We didn’t want to start something that felt cold or distant. We wanted to be right in the middle of where people live. Our office is often full of people coming in for a chat or asking for help with something. We don't have fancy titles or a big hierarchy. Everyone just chips in where they can. Sometimes the tea runs out and we have to send someone to the corner shop, but that’s just how a small local foundation operates. We don’t spend time making polished brochures or mission statements. We just look at what needs to be done in Vidisha today and try to get it done. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us connected to our town. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little part of it here in LBS Nagar. It is good to be a part of something local.
