My Car

Bhopal Sager Road is usually pretty busy with traffic and dust, and that is where we spend most of our time at My Car. It is just a regular spot where things get done. You will mostly find us with our hands covered in oil or trying to figure out why a particular engine is making that clicking sound again. We do not have fancy waiting rooms or anything like that, just a couple of plastic chairs and maybe some old newspapers if you are lucky. Most mornings start with moving the vehicles around to make space in the front. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep going. People from around the neighborhood drop by, sometimes just to ask for directions or talk about the weather while we work on a bumper or change out some old tires. There is always a pile of spare parts in the corner that we mean to organize but never really get around to. It is a lot of work, and the floor is never really clean, but it is what we do. We have been on this road for a while now, so we know the local tea stall guy and the rhythm of the traffic. It is not much, just a place for cars and the people who have to fix them every single day. We stay until the sun goes down and then do it all over again the next morning.
