About Maheshwari Milling Industries – Food & Beverages in Vidisha
Being right by the Raiberi Bus Stand in Ward 6 means we are never in a quiet spot. There is always the sound of bus engines idling and conductors shouting out different destinations for the travelers. It’s a busy part of the Raisen-District and we’ve been here long enough to get used to the noise. In fact, it feels a bit strange and empty when it’s actually quiet on the big holidays. Our milling setup takes up a good amount of space in the building. You can smell the grain as soon as you get close to the main gate. It’s a heavy, earthy smell that stays on your clothes long after you leave for the day. We start our work quite early, usually before the very first bus arrives at the stand. The workers here are mostly local folks who have been with us for many years now. We sit on some old plastic chairs out front during the slow moments and watch the travelers come and go. It’s a good place to see the world pass by while we do our milling work. The walls are a bit stained from the dust, but that’s the nature of this kind of business. We don't try to hide it or make it look like something else. We are just a local mill doing what mills do. People from the surrounding villages come in with their loads and we take care of them one by one. It’s a straightforward life.
