Our place is right on the 8-B National Highway, near that big microwave tower in Shapar. If you’ve ever driven past Veraval, you’ve probably seen the area. It’s always loud with the trucks rushing by on the highway. We’ve been here at No. 8-B for a long time now. The dust from the road covers everything if we don’t keep the doors shut, but you can’t really keep the air out. Atul Auto Ltd. is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s a practical setup. We have the parts and the machinery all laid out in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. Most of the guys here live nearby. We start early before the sun gets too hot because the metal gets warm to the touch. It’s honest work, mostly just fixing and moving auto components. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’re likely to talk to someone who’s right in the middle of a job. We handle a lot of different things, and every day brings a different kind of problem to solve. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the best part of the afternoon. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing until it’s time to lock up. It's just what we do to make ends meet.
