Vrh Bricks

Our business is based out in Amuduru Village, which is part of the Bakkili area in Nellore. It’s a quiet place compared to the city, but we stay busy enough with the brickwork. We have a fair amount of land here to keep the kilns running. Most of the people working here are from around the village. We’ve known each other for years. The work is hard on the back and the hands. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot to move. There isn't much to see other than the red dirt and the stacks of finished bricks. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. Just a small room with a fan where we do the paperwork. People usually just drive their trucks right up to where the bricks are stacked. We help them load up and they head back out. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We don't spend money on commercials or big signs. Word travels fast in Nellore, so if you do a decent job, people hear about it. Sometimes the mud gets thick when it rains, making it hard for the heavy vehicles, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s just a regular village business trying to stay steady. We don't have any big plans to change how we do things. It is what it is, and it works for the families here.
