We’ve been here on Ashokar Street in Maruthur for a good while now. It’s not a very fancy setup, just a regular place where we get the clothes ready and keep things moving. Most mornings start with checking the new stock that comes in. Maruthur can get pretty busy, especially during the day when everyone is out on the street, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. Wellknit Fashion Retail Pvt. Ltd. is basically us working through stacks of fabric and making sure the retail side of things doesn't get too messy. The building itself is old, but it does the job. We don’t have any big corporate meetings or anything like that. It’s mostly just us chatting about what needs to be packed or which boxes are going out next. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, which is a pain for deliveries, but we manage. You’ll find us right here if you’re walking down the main stretch. We handle a lot of different pieces, mostly just standard retail stuff that people actually wear. It’s hard work, especially when the heat picks up in the afternoon, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really do big advertisements. People around Maruthur just know we are here. It’s a simple operation, really. Just a bunch of us trying to keep the fashion retail thing going without making it more complicated than it needs to be.
