Vijay Electronics

Our shop, Vijay Electronics, is at 32 Nethaji Road in the Shenbakkam area. It’s a place we’ve called home for many years now. Nethaji Road is usually pretty active, with people walking by and cars honking at each other. We like the buzz of the neighborhood. The shop is full of various parts and equipment we use for our work. It might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is on the shelves. We don't bother with fancy displays or bright lights that you see in the malls. Most of our customers come to us because they know we’ve been here forever. We started this because we liked working with our hands and fixing electronic items for people. It’s satisfying to see something working again after it was broken and useless. We aren't some big chain store with uniforms or name tags. We just wear what’s comfortable for working on the bench. Sometimes the shop gets a bit warm in the summer, but we keep the doors open to let the breeze in from the street. We talk to everyone who comes in, whether they are buying something or just asking for advice on a gadget. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don't have a big philosophy or a fancy mission statement. We just show up, open the shutters, and get to work. That’s how Vijay Electronics has always operated and it seems to work just fine.
