Our place is situated on Katpadi Road, right between Katpadi and Ranipet. It is a very large area and there is always some kind of construction or activity going on somewhere on the grounds. Because it is so big, it can feel like a small city of its own. We have a lot of different buildings for the various departments and the many students who stay in the hostels. The main road outside is always crowded with buses and people trying to get in and out. Inside, it is just a lot of walking from one block to another. We have labs, large halls for lectures, and plenty of spots for students to gather. It has been around for decades and it just keeps expanding as more people come here. The daily life here is just about managing the schedule and making sure everything is in its place. It is a busy environment and the staff is usually occupied with the endless tasks of running such a massive institution. We do not have a lot of time for anything that isn't practical. It is just a place for education and research, plain and simple. You see a lot of different faces here every day, but everyone is just here to do their part and move forward. It is a lot to handle, but we manage to keep it all going.
