Ultramarine & Pigments Ltd.

Ultramarine & Pigments Ltd. has been operating out of 25-B in the Sipcot Industrial Estate for quite some time now. When you pull up to the gate, you usually see a few trucks waiting to load up. The air around here often has that heavy, industrial smell that you get in these types of zones. Inside the facility, things are pretty straightforward. We have the production area where the pigments are processed, and it can get quite blue depending on what we are running that day. The floors are stained in some spots, which just shows how much work has been done over the years. Our staff is a mix of older guys who have been here since the start and some newer faces trying to learn the ropes. The office part of the building is nothing special. There are some old filing cabinets and a few desks that have seen better days. We don't really do much in the way of fancy meetings. Usually, it’s just a quick chat over tea in the morning to figure out what needs to get done before the sun goes down. Most of the day is spent keeping the machines running and making sure the bags are packed right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s what keeps the lights on. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes the metal roof groan, but we just open the side doors to get a bit of a breeze going through the main hall.
