T M Fire & Safety

We are located at number 10 on MBT Road in Walajapet. Working with fire and safety equipment isn't exactly a glamorous job, but it’s what we do for a living. T M Fire & Safety is mostly just a shop filled with red cylinders and heavy hoses. We spend a lot of time checking dates on labels and making sure the pressure gauges are where they should be. The road outside can be pretty dusty with all the traffic, so we have to wipe down the equipment almost every morning before customers come in. It’s a small shop and sometimes it feels a bit crowded when we get a large shipment of new extinguishers in. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most people just come in because they know they need their equipment serviced or they need to buy a few new units for their own small shops. We talk to the truck drivers who pass through Walajapet a lot. The work is mostly manual, moving heavy things around and using simple tools to fix valves. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. It’s just us here on MBT Road, keeping things organized and making sure the shop is open on time. Sometimes the power goes out in the hot afternoon, so we just sit by the door and wait for it to come back. It’s a slow pace, but it works for us. We've been at this address a long time.
