We operate out of a place called Arun, at 4/6 Chinna Street. It’s in Allivaram, which falls under the Pennathur Post in Vellore. It is a very rural setting compared to the big cities. The office is basically a small house converted for our work. We deal with various development projects around the Vellore area. Life is pretty simple here. We start early before the sun gets too hot. The street is quiet, mostly just local families and a few shops. We don't have a lot of staff, maybe just four or five of us on a regular day. We spend most of our time out in the fields or at the construction sites. When we are in the office, we’re usually catching up on logs or talking to the local authorities. There isn't any fancy decor. We have some old wooden chairs and a few sturdy desks. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and talk to whoever is available. We don't use much fancy software; we still like our notebooks and pens. It’s worked for us so far. Being in Allivaram means we are close to the people we are building for. It makes sense for us to be right here in the thick of it. It’s an honest living and we enjoy the work. We just keep things practical and local. No big plans to change how we do things anytime soon.
