Selvam Rubber Company

You can find Selvam Rubber Company over at No:1/61 on Bajanaikoil Street. We are in the Periyachittery area, which falls under Thorapadi Post. It is a bit out of the way for some, but the locals know the street well. We have been working with rubber products here for a long time. It started as a small idea and just stayed that way. The shop is on a regular street, nothing fancy or corporate about it. We have some old machines that still run fine despite their age. They make a rhythmic sound that we have gotten used to over the years. We mostly serve the nearby areas. People stop by to ask about stuff or just to say hello. The street gets busy during temple festivals, and sometimes it is hard to get a truck in. We just wait it out. There isn't a lot of paperwork or complicated systems here. We write things down in a ledger and keep it on the desk. It’s a bit messy with scraps of rubber and tools lying around. We try to tidy up every Saturday evening before we close for the weekend. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our daily tasks and go home to our families. It’s honest work in a quiet corner of Thorapadi. We hope to stay here for another twenty years. It is a peaceful way to make a living.
