Arakkonam is a quiet town in many ways, and our office for Scl Logistics Pvt Ltd is located at No 34 on 4th Street in An Kandigai, Palanipet. It is a very straightforward place. We don't have a big lobby or a security guard at the front. You just walk in and see us working at our tables. The area of Palanipet is known for being a bit industrial and busy with the railway, which works out well for what we do. The office itself is quite plain, with white walls and some old calendars hanging up. We spend a lot of time checking the rail schedules and talking to the local loaders. It can get very hot in Arakkonam, especially in May, so we have a couple of noisy pedestal fans that we move around the room. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy website or big promises. We just want to make sure the goods get to where they are supposed to be without any trouble. Every day is pretty much the same: we arrive, check the emails, drink some tea, and start the paperwork. It is a simple life and a simple business. We like the fact that we are a local fixture on 4th street and people know they can just drop in. There is no corporate polish here, just a few people trying to keep the deliveries on time.
