S S Traders is located at 5, Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, right in the Rangapuram area of Sathuvachari. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time and seen it change quite a bit from our front door. Our shop is a bit small, but we manage to pack a lot of inventory into every corner. Sometimes it’s even hard to walk through the aisles because we have so many boxes stacked up high. The ceiling fans make a lot of noise, but they’re necessary when the afternoon heat kicks in. Most of the people who visit us live just down the street or a few blocks away. We don’t really bother with any kind of advertising or big signs. Most people find out about us just by talking to their neighbors. Usually, one of us is sitting out front in a plastic chair during the early morning when it’s still cool. We share the floor space with a lot of different materials that seem to change every week depending on what’s being delivered. It feels a bit crowded, but we know exactly where everything is hidden. If you need something specific, you might have to wait a minute while we dig it out from under a pile of other things. It’s just a regular local business and we handle all the lifting and paperwork ourselves. It keeps our days full and our nights short. We just keep moving and getting things done.
