We are situated on Thiruvalam Road in the Koranthangal part of Katpadi. The address is 699/2 and 702/1A, which is a bit of a mouthful, but it's where we’ve set up our shop. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We do industrial work, mostly making parts and components that go into much bigger machines. The heat in Katpadi can get pretty intense during the summer months, so the workshop stays quite warm throughout the day. We try to keep the big fans going to stay comfortable. It is a family-run kind of thing, really. A few of us handle the production, and we have someone help with the paperwork on the weekends when things are quieter. We have been at this location for a bit now. People around here know us as the place on Thiruvalam Road that stays open late when there is a big deadline. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy on the building. Usually, word of mouth is how people find us. We work with steel and iron mostly. It is messy work, and the floors are never truly clean no matter how much we sweep them at the end of the shift. That is just part of being an industrial shop. We don’t make any big promises, we just do the work that is asked of us. If we can’t do something, we will tell you straight. It is better that way for everyone. We like being part of the Katpadi community.
