Powe Lead Electricals is found at No. 17 inside the C. N. A Road Municipality Complex in Vaniyambadi. Being in a complex means we have a lot of neighbors and there’s always something going on around us. Our shop is packed with everything from tiny screws to long coils of heavy wire. It can look a bit disorganized if you don't know where to look, but we have our own system for finding things. Most of the day is spent talking to people who come in needing a specific part for a repair job. We spend a lot of time measuring out wire or explaining how a certain switch works. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a practical store where things are stacked up on wooden shelves. Vaniyambadi gets quite busy, especially in the mornings, so we try to get our cleaning done early. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things get quiet, usually reading the newspaper or just watching people go by in the complex. Sometimes the fans we sell are the only thing keeping the air moving in the shop. We don’t have any big plans to change things; we just want to keep the shop running and make sure we have what our customers are looking for. It’s honest, daily work that keeps us busy from morning until we close the shutters in the evening.
