Kovai Juice & Ice Cream

We spend a lot of time here at 86/19 in the Murugan Complex. It is right on Katpadi Road, so there is always noise from the traffic and people walking by. Being near CMC Road means we see a lot of folks coming and going all day long. The shop is just a regular place where we keep the coolers running and make sure the fruit stays fresh. Most mornings start with us moving crates and checking the ice cream stocks. It isn't a fancy setup. We have some chairs and the counters stay busy when the sun is out. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to deal with the backup, which is just part of running a business in this area. We mostly just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the floors are wiped down. People come in after work or when they are waiting for a bus nearby. It is a lot of repetitive work, cutting fruit and cleaning the blender jars, but it keeps us occupied. We have been in this spot for a while now. The neighborhood knows us as the place near the main junction. It gets hot in the afternoons, so that is when we see the most people looking for something cold. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is ready for the next customer who walks through the door. We just try to keep things simple and do the work honestly every single day.
