Kartik Provisional Store

Started the shop years ago here at 70, Kamarajzar Nagar. It’s right on Arakonnam Road, so we get a lot of people passing by on their way home. My brother and I usually open up around seven because people need their milk and bread early. It's not a huge place but we try to keep most things folks ask for, like different kinds of dals, soaps, and those snacks kids like. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when it’s busy, but that’s just how it goes when you're running a neighborhood store. We know most people around here by name. They come in to get their monthly groceries or just a single packet of salt if they ran out while cooking. Dealing with the suppliers is probably the hardest part, always checking if the bags are sealed right and if the dates are good. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the front door, so we have to keep an eye on that during monsoon. Kamarajzar Nagar is a good spot, though. It feels like everyone knows everyone. We don't do anything fancy, just sell what’s needed and try to be fair with the prices. If you live around Arakonnam Road, you’ve probably seen our sign. It's just a regular life here, stacking boxes and talking to neighbors. We're happy to be part of the street.
