Samy Engineering

We run Samy Engineering over in Gudiyattam. It’s a workshop where we deal with all sorts of metal work and machine repairs. Gudiyattam is a place where people know how to work with their hands, and we are no different. Our shop is usually messy with grease and scraps of iron, but that’s how a real workshop should look. We don't have a big office or a reception area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us under a machine or welding something in the back. We started small and stayed that way because we like being involved in every job ourselves. We fix things that are broken and sometimes make parts from scratch when they aren't available. It’s noisy and hot, especially during the summer months. We don't use much technology other than the tools on our benches. People in the neighborhood bring us their broken equipment, and we see what we can do. There is no guarantee we can fix everything, but we always give it a go. We aren't part of some big chain. It is just a local engineering spot where we value the skills we’ve learned over the years. We don't spend money on ads. Word of mouth around Gudiyattam is how we get our customers. It’s a simple life and we like the work. We keep the doors open from early morning until late evening most days because there is always something needing repair in this town.
