Our place is located in Sainthapu, Vellore, at 29(1) on Pazhani Rathinavel Mudali Street. It's a bit of a long name for a street, but we've managed to find our way around it. We work with salt and other products here in this part of Tamil Nadu. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a plain front with a heavy metal door. Inside, we have bags and containers stacked up on pallets. It gets quite hot in Vellore, so we try to keep the doors open for a breeze during the afternoon. We are just a small team of people who handle the inventory and shipping. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team to get clients. Mostly, we just talk to our regular buyers and make sure the orders get loaded onto the trucks correctly. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and we have to stay late to finish it all. It's a simple operation and we don't try to dress it up to look better than it is. We've been at this address for a while and the locals know us. There is always a bit of salt on the floor no matter how much we sweep every day. That is just how the job is when you handle this kind of product. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day. We are just regular people working hard.
