Being over here in the Sidco Industrial Estate means we see a whole lot of different people coming through every single day. Our place is at No.-9 on the 1st East Cross Road. It's a pretty busy part of Gandhinagar, especially during the shift changes at the bigger factories nearby. We mostly keep tools and different types of equipment that folks need for their own shops. It’s a lot of inventory to keep track of, and to be honest, it gets overwhelming sometimes. Some days are just spent moving heavy boxes around and making sure we haven't lost anything in the stacks. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a standard concrete unit in the estate. We’ve been here long enough that most of the other shop owners nearby stop in for a chat. If you're looking for a specific tool, it’s usually buried on one of the back shelves somewhere. We try to keep things organized, but that goes out the window when a big shipment arrives and we have to cram it all in. The 1st East Cross Road can get really cramped with all the lorries and the delivery vans trying to back in. It’s just how life is in an industrial zone. We don't have a sales team or anyone in a suit. It's usually just two or three of us handling the orders and making sure people get what they asked for. We drink way too much tea and just keep at it until it's time to lock up. It’s a plain business.
