Down on Arniroad, specifically at the Ida Scudderware area, you’ll find us. Cms Hospital isn’t hard to spot once you get into the right part of town. The area is named after Ida Scudder, which is a name everyone around here knows pretty well because of the local history. We aren't that big of a place, but we stay busy. The mornings are usually the most hectic part of the day. That’s when everyone shows up at once, and the staff has to scramble to get the paperwork ready for the morning rounds. We don’t go in for any of that polished marketing talk. We are just a local hospital trying to keep up with the people coming in from the surrounding streets. The floors are old tile and the walls are a plain color that doesn't show the dirt too much. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going full blast to keep the air moving through the wards. We have a few benches outside where people sit when it gets too crowded inside the lobby. Sometimes we run out of chairs, and someone has to bring one out from the back office so an elderly person can sit down. It is a bit of a scramble sometimes, but we get through it. People come here because we are close by and they know where to find us. It’s a practical place, nothing more and nothing less.
